For US$75 per person, you'll be able to meet the head chef and tour the galley, as well as dine on a multi-course meal at a private table, while watching the chefs at work. Add to this all the great dining and drinking options, and it’s clear that there’s no dreamier way to take a vacation. With all the unforgettable indoor and outdoor fun, entertainment, cool drinks and relaxation time, you’re sure to work up a big appetite while cruising on Carnival Dream.
Cloud 9 Spa Suite
Read our top five cruise tips to get the most out of your next sailing on Carnival Dream. WaterWorks and the extra-fee Warehouse Arcade are two other spaces kids enjoy. To enter the pool, hot tubs or use the water park, kids must be toilet trained; swim diapers are not permitted. To ride the Twister and Drainpipe slides, kids must be 42 inches or taller. Families are a major demographic for Carnival, especially during the summer, and Carnival Dream works hard to keep kids and parents happy.

Carnival Dream - Interior Common Areas
When you want to take a break from all the action, you can really make the most of your cruise by booking a beauty or wellness treatment at Cloud 9 Spa. Perhaps a massage to soothe your muscles after a super-active shore excursion? Or a facial to revitalize your skin after days under the Caribbean sun.
Deluxe Ocean View (Obstructed View)
Highlights also include the adults-only, outdoor two-level Serenity area for a delightful retreat where you can melt your cares away. Start the day with a dip in the Thalassotherapy pool followed by a massage at the Cloud 9 Spa that will leave you feeling new and rejuvenated. Find a favorite souvenir at the boutiques and browse the duty-free shops. Soak up the sun at three swimming pools and delight your senses in whirlpools that extend over the side of the ship providing unforgettable views.
Oceanview (6L)
Circle C is found on deck 4 and focuses on the tweens ages 12 to 14. This is a fun place, with dance floor, DJ, video jukebox, and Internet workstations. The room is 1,075 square feet, and kids love the modern design and hip furniture. Circle C has a dedicated director who oversees the tweens' activities, including late-night movies, video game contests, and pool parties. View Carnival's cruise ship staterooms, including suites, balconies, oceanviews and interior staterooms.
Teens can hang out with their friends at Club 02
Dance at the popular Liquid Nightclub and watch a show at Ovation, the main lounge. You will be dancing in your seat at Playlist Productions and watch a movie outdoors at the huge screen at the Carnival Seaside Theater. Sing your heart out at The Song Karaoke bar and settle in for a delightful night under the stars at Dive-in Movies where blockbuster films are shown on an immense poolside screen.
At Camp Ocean™, supervised groups of children can take part in as many activities as they desire, from making arts and crafts to dancing and singing. There’s a nighttime option too, so that parents can enjoy some of the evening activities while your kids are in good hands and having fun. While the adults are relaxing and rejuvenating at their own spa appointments, teens can make an appointment at ZSpa, a spa specially geared towards helping teens look and feel their best. From fitness classes to manicures to the hottest hairstyles, ZSpa is the ultimate in spa indulgence for teens. There’s nothing quite like playing a round of Mini Golf or two with your family while under the open blue sky and surrounded by the gentle blue waters of the Caribbean. Premium "vista" balcony cabins are located in aft corners and boast larger wraparound balconies, while aft-extended-view balconies are located at the back of the ship and also feature larger balconies, though not wraparound. Deluxe outside cabins are slightly larger (230 square feet) and can sleep up to five. They double as the ship's "family" cabins and have the two twins that convert to king, two pulldown beds and a sofa that converts to a twin. There is enough standard (non-suite) cabin storage space to accommodate three adults.
Cloud 9 Spa staff are masters (or, maybe more like artists) trained in the craft of simply helping you chill. Massages, facials, body wraps, thermal suites and more — plus, on certain ships, the amazing Thalassotherapy Pool — these are the tools of the trade. Hang out and do stuff like watch movies, listen to music from this decade, play sports and video games, join karaoke jam sessions… maybe even have a pool party or two, all with other high schoolers ages of 15 to 17.
And for the youngest passengers we have our Seuss At Sea programs inspired by the colorful, whimsical world of Dr. Seuss. A huge chunk of the passengers on Carnival Dream drive to their cruise from states all over the southern United States. Ages run the gamut from kids (lots of 'em in the summer!) to folks in their 60s and 70s, though the average age is usually somewhere in the mid-30s to mid-40s. The ship is popular with groups, including family reunions and wedding parties. So maybe you’ve had sushi on a cruise before, but you’ve never had it like Bonsai Sushi, our onboard seafood-and-soy-sauce spot. Dine amidst expertly-pruned bonsai trees while enjoying sit-down service and an affordable menu of delectable sushi and sashimi… plus rolls, soups, sides, sakes and desserts.
Also during the 2021 upgrade, the cruise line removed the ship’s conference room and added a non-smoking casino and bar. Parents (or pre-assigned guardians) must sign kids ages 2 through 8 in and out. Kids 9 and older can sign themselves in and out, except after 10 p.m., during Night Owls babysitting hours. Branded Dr. Seuss activities include a once-per-sailing Seuss-a-Palooza Parade that winds its way from the Deck 5 Burgundy Lounge down to the Deck 3 level of the Encore theater. The Cat in the Hat and Things 1 and 2 also make an appearance at the once-per-sailing Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast (see For-Fee Dining).
Bring your appetite because out-of-this-world cuisine is served on Carnival Dream, which boasts a myriad of fabulous dining choices, including casual, formal and al fresco options. International dishes and American favorites are served at the two-level main dining rooms, Crimson and Scarlet, where you can dine in beautiful settings. Head to the popular Lido restaurant called The Gathering, which features pizza, burrito and pasta stations, a New York-style deli, Indian Tandoor, Mongolian Wok and more.
On the flip side, it's more intimate feel tends to draw a large crowd, so don't expect to feel worlds away. Carnival Dream staterooms (1823 total) include 56 Suites, 841 Balcony, 221 Oceanview and 719 Inside, including 254 connecting, 35 wheelchair-accessible, 61 Spa and 193 Family cabins, in all 34 grades. On Carnival Dream were introduced the fleet's new categories "Deluxe Oceanview", "Cove Balcony" and "Cloud 9 Spa" cabins. What truly sets Carnival Dream apart from other ships, however, is its service. The crew members seem genuinely happy and interested in making sure passengers have the best vacation possible.
When floated out in 2008, the ship was the largest Carnival cruise ship ever built, as well as the largest ship ever built by the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. Although Carnival Dream offers stellar facilities for kids, it also provides adults with a place to escape the wee ones. If you're hoping to experience Serenity, the adults-only sun deck area, get there early, as loungers are at a premium. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is permitted outside in a designated area on Deck 5 (port side); on Deck 11 (starboard, midship and aft); inside in the Caliente Nightclub; and at the Jackpot Casino bar and floor (port side). With nearly 10 bars and lounges, you'll find plenty of spots to grab a drink on Carnival Dream, though the emphasis throughout is on tequila- and rum-based cocktails. Wine and draft and bottled beer (including an IPA) are also available.
